Going over to the US has always been a hefty expense for a foreign band. Visas, immigration lawyers, tax, flights, tolls, backline, etc. Now, it seems that even if you do everything correctly, you are still not guaranteed entry. The prices of merchandise and tickets will increase with tariffs, as bands struggle to come close to breaking even. How will this affect the music industry as a whole? Is it not worth it to go to the US anymore, and in that case how would this effect Canadian bookings? Will this change how people consume music altogether?
